Biomechanics of OA knee

Biomechanics of OA knee
15 Jan, 2026
Osteoarthritis is a biomechanical degenerative disease, need early and aggressive care. If neglected and symptoms (Pain, Difficulty in mobility and Deformities) avoided it can become a problem for rest of our life.
We often avoided our feet, the first contact point of our body on the ground and primary shock absorber. Weakness of intrinsic muscle of our feet, falling arch, increasing body weight all forces us into a compensatory position (Varus deformity and reduction of medial joint line space) and more impacts at medial joint line and inner thigh muscles.
To compensate pain and our endogenous compensatory mechanism induced stiffness reduces our flexibility and precipitate an early fatigue.
Problem is all biomechanical, simple biomechanical correction and regular lubrication of our knee joints can help us living a healthy and pain free life.
